Dawson Street Streetscape Improvements

The Dawson Street Streetscape Improvement project was a part of Moreland City Council’s plan to beautify the heart of Brunswick. It was the first of three projects in this area, all three of which we had the pleasure to construct for Moreland City Council. The other two being the Saxon Lane Upgrade Project and the Brunswick Townhall & Mechanics Institute Forecourts Upgrade.

The Dawson Street Streetscape Improvement project involved the following elements of work:

• Construction of WSUD raingardens with bespoke coreten channel
• Drainage upgrade works to incorporate the WSUD inclusion to the precinct
• Footpath reconstruction with a combination of brick, sawn bluestone and asphalt paving
• Kerb and channel reconstruction with sawn bluestone
• A complete road profile and resheet, with associated linemarking
• Supply and installation of street furniture
