Hampton Street - Brighton

Synopsis:

Following a public tender process, Evergreen Civil where awarded the Hampton Street Bluestone Kerb & Channel Drainage Improvement Works for Bayside City Council in October 2014.

Works were staged along the busy arterial road to ensure minimal disruption to local residents and road users, and included:

• Demolition & re-construction of existing bluestone pitcher kerb & channel & associated adjoining asphalt road pavement. Existing bluestones were salvaged, cleaned and re-used.
• Demolition & re-construction of existing concrete and asphalt crossovers to new levels
• Temporary relocation of bus stops to ensure bus services continued throughout construction
• Installation of new stormwater drainage network across Ferguson Street & Hampton Street intersection
• Upgrade to associated pram crossings
• Reconstruction of adjoining asphalt pavement
• Reinstatement of nature-strips

Works were completed to kerb & channel in early December 2014.
